Very sub par
Very disappointing mud run. I've been to several local mud/obstacle races and this one is absolutely terrible. The course wasn't even closed, there were kids at the park playing on the course. It was poorly marked as well. Save your money and go to a real event.
keep adding obstacles
This was my fourth Hillbilly Mud Run. I have participated in all of them since the first one in Billings, and I have enjoyed them all. I bring my grand daughters and friends. We all have a great time. I hope that you will continue to add obstacles. I would like to see some in the arena filled with mud. See ya next August.
This was my second mud run and my son's first. I would echo the previous review in that the lack of signs directing you towards the event location made the drive stressful. The obstacles were not nearly as challenging as the Gladiator but still quite fun. More mud would be great.
And maybe a little tending to the course prior to the race would be good. At one crossing at the creek I grabbed a small (6" dia) tree to help pull myself up the bank and the tree broke loose and came crashing down behind me, just missing a teenage girl who was still in the creek. Pure luck, or God's grace. I grabbed another tree to help and it also cracked; I waited until she was out of the water and then purposefully broke the tree loose and let it fall in the water when it was clear. The day could very easily have been tragic.
Had a great time! Really enjoyed the time with my friends. The medals and t-shirts are top notch! and I would most definetly do it again! Really appreciated the bag check!
Although I do belive several improments could and do need to be made
There were no sign we seen pointing us to the event not even at the gate. Balloons, signs when your getting close would be so helpful.
Twice on the course we were misdirected or failed to understand the course and when asking the volunteers they were somewhat confused also.
something as simple as bobby pins ........ have them on hand please.
NEED LOTS MORE MUD!!!!
But overall I had a great time and found the course to be fun and challenging much better than a regular ole 5K!
